CURLY CUTTING

Curly brunette long bob hair hair by Gemma Moore based in Swindon

I LOVE CURLS! I'm a self confessed curl addict!

Cutting curls is a specialist skill that I have spent the last year & a half perfecting. After going on multiple training days to learn the fundamentals of curly hair, various techniques of how to cut and style the curls plus a year of learning from clients, I would consider myself an extremely competent curly hairdresser!

This next year, I will continue to build my skills to become a curl specialist!

What is curly cutting?

Curly cutting is a way in which I cut the hair to enhance the curls and their placement. Always keeping in mind, the curl pattern, the desired shape and result when cutting.

During the appointments, I will assess the type of curls you have and then advise on the type of products you should be using.

Kindly let go of your stylist if you have curls and they don't know how to cut them. You and your curls deserve to be acknowledged, harnessed and celebrated!

 KERATIN SMOOTHING TREATMENTS

Keratin Smoothing Treatments are a TOTAL game changer if you have frizzy, puffy, humidity loving, curly or unruly hair that you just want to tame!

The solution I use is called The Crown and it is truly amazing. It has an Arco-core technology which means it has ingredients within to actually repair the hair and has no harsh chemicals such as

formaldehyde which is found in so many keratin treatments.

The results last 4-6 months depending on how often the hair is washed, lifestyle and what aftercare products are used. I have seen my clients coming back in for colours since having this treatment and I am over the moon with how its lasted on everyone so far!

GREY BLENDING

You're going grey but not quite ready to fully embrace a full head of your natural hair colour?

I get you, going grey can bring up a lot of ingrained, subconcious, predjudice about ourselves. We've been led to believe grey means old thus non-fertile, peri/menopausal and unimportant but this just isn't the case. Grey hair is so full of character, dimension and stories to tell.

Personally, I love grey hair but I understand it's not for everyone right now.

I work primarily with women, usually in their 40's & 50's to create these gorgeous blended grey looks...

I'd love to work with you to create something low-maintenance, blended and unique to you! Using various placements, techniques and colours to suit your skin tone we can really start to enhance your hair without completely saturating your greys with typical permanent colour. This means it'll be manageable and disguised and you'll usually get a soft grow out with the techniques I use.

ADVANCED COLOURING

Balayage, Foilayage, Expensive Brunettes, Babylights and more...

I have over 7 years of experience with colouring hair so I've tried my hand at many ways of colouring hair and as much as I love to keep up with latest trends and techniques, I have my way of doing things now which is keeping everything natural in terms of blend, grow-out & tone/colour which is why balayage & advanced blonding is one of my most popular services.

I am known to be a bit of a perfectionist and I would like to think this is seen throughout my work. There is a higher investment required for advanced hair colouring and I think it should show by looking like you could have grown it yourself.
